Chakri Memorial Day is 6th April, with the Thai New Year 13–15. May 5th is Coronation Day, whilst August 12th is Mothers Day (the Queens Birthday) – the Kings Birthday is December 5th. Chulalongkorn Day is celebrated October 23rd. Winter - Makha Bucha (March), Spring - Visakha Bucha (May), Summer - Asanha Bucha and Khao Phansa, also called "Buddhist Lent" (July).
