Whatever the season Normandy is easily accessibly from England and our beautiful property No 1 offers a great venue for an extended family group to explore the region, the battlefield sites, sandy beaches and even enjoy a day out in Paris.
Don't miss the pretty port of Honfleur, sophisticated Deauville and its close neighbour Trouville; Bayeux and its incredible tapestry, D-Day Landing beaches not to mention Mont St Michel.
Properties No 3 and No 4 are also great for large parties. Children will love No 3 with pool, tennis, sandpit and swings, not to mention bikes to suit most sizes and quiet lanes to explore and lots of space in the landscaped grounds. With extensive lawns and beautiful walled pool garden the elegance of No 4 will enthral you, but, if you can tear yourself away, the train to Paris takes just under an hour. It is easy to explore the wonderful chateaux of the Loire including Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Chenonceau and Chambord from either property.
Not far from No 3 is La Brenne, one of the most important areas of etangs (lakes) in France and an internationally important wetland, La Brenne harbours natural habitats and species of wild plants and animals that are threatened. This lake-dotted landscape appears natural, but is the work of man dating back to the Middle Ages when monks established the abbayes of Meobecq, Saint-Cyran and Fontgombault and created fishing lakes; now home to a huge variety of wild life - a mecca for anyone interested in the natural world.
